Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation’s Army of Women® is a revolutionary initiative, connecting women and men of all ages, ethnicities, and locations to researchers committed to solving important breast cancer questions. We encourage anyone interested in breast cancer research to join: We need participants who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, volunteers with no history of breast cancer, and people who are considered ‘high-risk’ to join our Army of Women. Our goal is to forge partnerships between our members and the scientific community. We aim to teach our members about the clinical research process and connect them with innovative research studies.
How does the Army of Women work?
After registering as an Army of Women member, you will receive periodic emails with information about breast cancer research studies that are recruiting volunteers. Every study is evaluated by our team and an external Scientific Advisory Committee for scientific merit, study design, and fit before we notify our members. If you are interested in participating in a study, you simply click the ‘RSVP For This Study’ button and answer a few questions. If you are eligible, you will receive instructions on the next steps, including enrollment and participation details.
Don’t want to wait for an eblast? You can view our full list of open Army of Women-supported studies on our current projects page. On this page, you are able to review study details, participating locations, and ‘RSVP’ for studies that interest you.
We want to forge a partnership between our members and the scientific community. To facilitate this connection, we offer webinars to allow researchers recruiting via the Army of Women to speak with our members, discuss results, answer questions, and offer potential opportunities for further investigation based on their results.
